Having taken photos for about 8 years, Los Angeles based Derek Wood decided to focus on fashion photography 2 years ago. He says he’s inspired by friends, nature and music, but also fellow photographers: “- As far as photographers go I would have to say Camilla Åkrans, Rankin, Ryan McGinley and Yu Tsai.”
His work has been published in JPG Magazine and PluzUltra Magazine, and he’s currently got a few celebrity editorials coming out in this month’s and next month’s issue of Zooey. And now: “- I have all kinds of projects in the works right now. A few beauty series, a collaboration with a visual artist and I’m building a darkroom. Got to get back to my roots!”
